Death of Mrs G. Knapp. We have this week to record the death of Mrs G. Knapp, which took place at their residence, High Street, Shrivenham, on Friday last week. She was the daughter of M.G. Ryman of Faringdon. The funeral took place in the churchyard on Wednesday at Shrivenham, the Rev E.F. Hill officiating. The mourners were Mr G. Knapp (husband), Mrs Ryman (mother), Mr G. Ryman (father), Mrs T. Yates (sister), Mr H. Ryman (brother), Mr T. Yates (brother-in-law), Miss L. Knapp (sister-in-law), Mr W. Knapp, of Bourton (brother-in-law), Mr E. Knapp of Shrivenham (brother-in-law), Miss Lovelock, Mrs J. Tucker, Mrs Dyke, of Shrivenham, Mrs Carter, Faringdon, and a few more friends were in the church; illness and distance unfortunately prevented other relatives from being present. Beautiful floral tributes were sent by the following:-
 
With fondest love to one of the best of wives and mothers, from her loving husband, and children, Vera and Eva; - “Thy will be done;” To dear Elsie, with fondest love from her sorrowing mother, father and brothers, Will and Henry. – “Peace, perfect Peace;” In loving memory of our dear sister, from Flo and Tom; In ever-loving memory of our dear Elsie, from mother and Lizzie. – “She had not time to bid her friends farewell;” With deepest sympathy from Perce and Ted; With very deepest sympathy from cousin Eva (London); With very deep sympathy, from Miss L. Lovelock; In deep sympathy, from Mr & Mrs S. Furley (Faringdon); In loving memory and with deepest sympathy, from Will, Frank,  Gert and the Boys at Bourton; With deepest sympathy, from Mrs and Miss Tucker, H. Knight and J. Kinsey. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr J. Knapp, High Street, Shrivenham.
