Highways & Byways in Berkshire

This book was published by Macmillan & Co in 1906. It's nice quality but this one does show signs of being quite heavily handled during it's life. The illustrations are good and were drawn in 1906 by Frederick Griggs as he saw them then. The descriptions of the places visited are written in typical Victorian gentry style and there is but one mention of Shrivenham, that being just the word 'Shrivenham.' The book was rescued from a charity shop in Shrivenham.
