Liddington Wick Farm sale 1864

This Listing is prompted by the aquisition of a copy of an original sale brochure from 1864, when Liddington Wick Farm was auctioned at the The Goddard Arms in Swindon. It is particularly detailed and will be of interest to the local historian. The area where the farm once stood is now the housing estate known as Liden on the eastern edge of Swindon, but the farmhouse still exists as flats off the road called Eastmere.

We also have a newspaper article from the Devizes & Wiltshire Gazette (accessed via the British Newspaper Archive) dated 19th June 1823, advertising the sale of the same farm.
