The thatched shop circa 1940s - courtesy of Shrivenham Heritage Society
The Parish & Schoolmaster's house circa 1800

Number 13 High Street - Shrivenham

It's fair to say that this building has become something of an icon over the years. As it stands today the cottage type building that fronts the road is 17th century. But it's highly likely that it's foundations are much earlier. Shrivenham Heritage Society have started a file as to what we know so far of the history of it, and if anyone can add more documentary information then please get in touch info@shrivenhamheritagesociety.co.uk
