The village was en fete on the 27th ult, on the occasion of the marriage of Miss Violet Mary Barrington, daughter of the Hon W. The bridesmaids were Miss Margaret Barrington (sister of the bride), Miss Evelyn Campbell and Miss Elsie Robarts (cousins of the bride), and Miss Violet Stuart Johnson (cousin of the bridegroom). The ceremony was performed by the Rev the Hon G.C. Feilding, of Stapleton Rectory, Shrewsbury, uncle of the bridegroom, assisted by the Rev Raffles Flint, of Laddock, cousin to the Hon Mrs Barrington, and the Rev F. Hill, vicar of Shrivenham. The best man was Mr Lionel Bathell.
