Shrivenham Village Cross excavation report by Neil Maw. The cross stood adjacent to present (2003) village stocks and defined the Cross Trees (4 elms). Only stubs of the cross support remain. Diagrams and 5 photos.

What remained of the column and base of the cross were removed and stored at No 9 Hazell's Lane, Shrivenham. But subsequent enquiries at the address failed to find it. If anyone has knowledge of its whereabouts please contact us on
