A Grand Bazaar at Beckett Park

This Listing consists of an advertisement that appeared in the Faringdon Advertiser on Saturday 4th July, 1903, announcing the Grand Bazaar that was to be held later in the month at Beckett Park. Note the name of the proprietor of Beckett Park at that time was Mr Robert Whitehead, who was renting the estate at a time when the Barrington family could no longer afford to live there. Robert Whitehead was a famous Engineer who invented the naval torpedo. Please see Listing No N623 in this Catalogue for more details.
