Congregational Magazine for Feb 1829

This is a copy of the Congregational Magazine for Feb 1829. It details the works of John Shute who became the first Viscount Barrington. It deals with his Theological Works, how his family were connected with the Dissenters from the Civil troubles of the 17th century, his publication of, 'A Dissuasive against Jacobitism,' the Harburgh lottery affair, and more.

It also has a section on the character and last years of the late Bishop of Durham, who was the son of Viscount Barrington.

This is heavy going, but if you have a particular interest you may read the whole document by going HERE.
