The photo showing people in Church Walk. Note the gates at the top of the walk, replaced in 1912 by the current Lytchgate
A note from Alice to Ethel

Photograph of Church Walk Shrivenham

This photo comes in the form of a Postcard sent to Ethel Mutters in Devizes from Alice in Shrivenham. The post mark over the stamp shows that it's clearly a Shrivenham mark and it's just faintly possible to see the number 10. This is very likely to be 1910 as the at the top of the walk there are a set of iron gates. These were removed in 1912 to ebable the current Lytchgate to be placed there. Also the attire of the people would suggest the same.
