Two original Court Baron Records from 1782 and 1748

This document was purchased from Ebay by Neil Maw in April 2022. It's an original copy produced by the proceedings of the Court Baron of the Manor of Shrivenham Salop on 26th April 1782. It concerns a cottage that was located in the eastern end of Longcott that was occupied by the then late John Roby who held it by Copyhold from the Manor. This document is the legal instrument that passed the occupancy to his surviving wife Elizabeth for the remainder of her widowhood. To read more detail please go HERE

This second document was also purchased from Ebay by Neil Maw in April 2022. It's an original record of the proceedings that took place at a special meeting of the court on 16th March 1748. It involves the transfer of estate and property in Longcott from John Parfett to Roger Mattingly. To read more details please go HERE
