Knight Errant

The relevance of this book to Shrivenham is that the main character, Lord Craven (William) donated £500 in 1638 for the rebuilding of the church. The book also deals with the building of Ashdown House which is situated just above Ashbury. It's also quite an interesting read for any reader interested in 17th century history.
