This listing is to identify a portion of a larger estate of land that was sold by the Radnor Estate in 1810. The sale catalogue described that it was to be sold as five lots. The Lot No 3 was sold to John Kent for £5481 in an agreement dated December 1810. It had it's own farmhouse but it's not known if it had a name, so for convenience it has been named here as Lower Bourton Farm. In more recent years it became known as Manor Farm. This is to enable it to be distinguished from the other farms in Lower Bourton to assist in the explanation of the historical record. There were many changes in the first half of the 19th century at Lower Bourton. What is seen today would be completely different to how it looked in the period previous. Once the research is complete it will be summarised as a chapter in the History of Bourton book.
