For anyone who is interested in Milling, this is a delightful book to use as a reference. It has many pictures and drawings of parts of mills, water or wind powered. Most of the mills have gone, but there was a huge amount of them across the country. Shrivenham Heritage Society have also listed mills that were in the vicinity of Shrivenham and provided detailed information on some of them. Please go to the SHSwebsite.
Also with this listing are two small books, equally of interest for the study of milling. 'Millwrighting techniques as a guider to dating Windmills & Watermills.' Also 'Perfect Pitch - the Millwrights' Goal.'
