The Old Poor House at Watchfield

We are grateful to Ian Pearson of Watchfield for allowing us sight of documents that were once the deeds to his property on the High Street at Watchfield. The house that faces the street today has been known as Lilemore Cottage and the White House. But it's what stood there previously is useful information in that it was the Poor House used by the village administrators to house those people who were in need of shelter. This listing studies the Pearson documents for the historical record.
