Lady Charlotte Barrington - a statue carved in wood

The year 2025 marked the Centenary, 100 years since Lady Charlotte Barrington, with her friend H.R.H. Princess Beatrice, officially opened the newly erected Memoriaal Hall at Shrivenham. Through her tireless efforts, with dogged determination and generosity, the building that she hoped would become a focal point of the village, was ready for use. Her wishes for it came true as today it is the centrepoint of village activities. Therefore, the culmination of the celebrations from 2025 is the splendid carving of her at the entrance to her community building.
