St Andrew's Church Graveyard Survey 2004

This survey was carried out by a company called Glanville of Abingdon on behalf of the Vale of the White Horse District Council. A copy of it was given to various people around the village of Shrivenham but it was in printed paper sections. We have now scanned those sections and stitched them together digitally to form one map. The map shown with this listing is of low resolution, but we can supply a higher resolution copy on request.

A survey of the graveyard was carried out by Shrivenham Heritage Society in 2023, whereby all of the standing memorial stones and those lying down and buried, were cleaned, photographed and transcribed. A book was published containing an Index of all the names from the stones and the book is also available as a digital PDF file HERE. The photos of the stones are now contained within a Digital Vault and access can be given upon request

We have published two books, The Stones of St Andrews, that gives general information on the survey and an Index of all the names gathered from the inscriptions and show the area where they lie. Also The Angels of St Andrew's that shows all the stones that have an Angel inscribed at the top dating from the 1684 to 1786 when they stopped.
