Vale of White Horse – small guide books

There are several books associated with this listing. One is a 106 page paperback guide book with simple map - Vale of White Horse – Official Guide Fourth Edition 1984. Another is a self published guide by David Disbury from 1969. Also a copy, in excellent condition, 'The White Horse and the Village of Uffington' by Jane Cooper & Sharon Smith.  Also, donated by Paul Radford, the son of Barry Radford, who married an Ilott daughter of Shrivenham, a small, hard back copy of, 'The Scouring of the White Horse.' This is number 65 of a limited edition of 500. It is a modern reprint  of an earlier book. It explains the reason and ritual of the cleaning, or scouring, of the ancient White Horse above Uffington.
