Beckett Park Gate Lodges

No documentary evidence has yet been discovered to confirm when the two gate houses were built. Stylistic evidence would suggest that they were built at around the same time as Beckett House (1830), or soon after.

The building located at the north entrance has been in the ownership of the military since the estate was purchased by the government in 1937 (See Listing No N1045). The building at the west entrance is privately owned and known as Barnacle Lodge. (See Listing No N1425)
