The Prince of Wales Public House - Shrivenham

The Prince of Wales Public House is a popular attraction in Shrivenham High Street, but it's origins are obscure. Shrivenham Heritage Society is continually gathering information on all the noteable buildings in the village and have published an article containing what is known so far on the history of this pub. To read a copy of it please go HERE

With this file is also an interview with Peter Child who's parents were the proprietors of the pub in 1941 - 45.

We have also been researching the row of buildings attched to the pub 18 - 22 High St. To read this information please see Listing No N1257.
